eLumen has opened a search for a Regional VP of Partnerships (east or west) to join the team.  The sales hunter role will be focused on developing new business market opportunities by generating interest, creating and qualifying opportunities, scheduling meetings, facilitating presentations and product demonstrations via the web and on-campus to close new business in accordance with annual performance targets. Colleges, Community Colleges, and Universities teach the next generation of talent.  These institutions are under great pressure to provide meaningful instruction that actually prepares students for the real world.  Meanwhile, they are also navigating the complex process of managing their curriculum and meeting the regulatory requirements to receive public funding.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understand of the academic affairs domain and our clients’ needs and best interests
  • Develop and maintain up to date knowledge of industry trends, competitive activity, and customer issues to influence the company and inform business planning
  • Partner with the Executive Team (position will report to the President)  to develop, align and execute the company’s high growth strategic roadmap
  • Manage full sales cycle from prospecting to closing
  • Develop and execute a territory plan. Organize calling, e-mailing, social media and travel activities to fully cover open opportunities in assigned territory.
  • Establish relationships with identified decision makers within current and prospective accounts.
  • Manage logistics needed to complete procurement and licensing processes.
  • Assess client needs and introduce appropriate AAIS software and/or services.
  • Update required opportunity documentation as needed.
  • Learn, implement and follow adopted consultative sales process.
  • Successfully interface with higher education professionals, c-level decision makers and handle multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Conduct webinars and face to face consultative presentations to educate clients on eLumen products and services.
  • Participate in industry tradeshows and sales events.
  • Conduct relevant research on institutions in assigned territory to improve the effectiveness of opportunity management.
  • Leverage relationships and referrals to grow opportunity pipeline.
  • Meet quarterly and annual sales quotas.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • Demonstrated success in sales position; education technology experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working in fast-paced start-up companies
  • Demonstrated analytical skills needed to infer business needs from conversations and align them with the prospect’s needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships with key contacts
  • Demonstrated poise and excellence in interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Google Workspace Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive) of applications and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) of applications and various e-mail programs
  • Ability to use all devices, equipment, computer systems (eg. HubSpot) required to fulfill the essential functions of this position.
  • Ability to work in an often-stressful environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

 

Locations:  Minneapolis, MN or remote
